● They are educated in totally different way (obey) and have to apply a working way they have not experienced themselves.
● They are looking forward to the moment they can enjoy life (retirement) and this pleasure will be postponed.
The middle manager has to reinvent his/her role, has to live with individuals that are ready to be accountable for output, that want autonomy in how to achieve the output.
The middle manager will have to look for solutions within the organisation instead of asking the individual to adapt, will have to involve individuals in this process.
We are going from ‘return on investment’ to ‘return on involvement’.
